Sunday we celebrated at our house with friends and family...here is a picture of her cake that I made myself...at like 9 mths pregnant! It was fairly simple and it looked great (or so I thought anyways) AND the princess part had to be a "denser" cake so I made (from scratch) a cream cheese pound cake. The bottom portion of the cake, I like to call the pedestal, was chocolate.
Maddy had an exhausting day and by 5:00 pm she was up in her room and on time out because she was being rude to the twins - Kaylee and Jessica (who are 18 months old). Apparently Maddy was upset that they were playing in her "corner" and slobbering all over her toys...and the reason she was mad was because she cleaned that all herself the night before. Boo hoo! So she had her moment away from the party upstairs and later on joined us again like nothing happened.
Yesterday - her actual birthday - was spent at home and she couldn't understand just why no one was coming to her house for her birthday. Good thing that Grandpa showed up in the evening to see her!
Yesterday I also registered her for school - full time kindergarten - no turning back now! Let's just say that Lord loves us all when she starts, after the day we had with her yesterday and not listening, I am sorta glad that I will be home for half the school year, because I have a feeling I will be visiting that school lots.
Also yesterday, I had a doctors appointment. I am 38 weeks (and 2 days). She checked my cervix and I am 1 cm dilated. What does that mean? NOTHING - NADA! Next week, I will go back and maybe I will be like 5 cm...I doubt that would happen without me knowing though right? LOL!
Anyways, it was a fun filled weekend - well Sunday anyways, the rest of the weekend leading up to Sunday was cleaning, baking and cooking! Hope you all had a good weekend!
